Pallet Rack Systems in St. Louis
Selective pallet rack for direct access, pushback for repeated reserve, pallet flow for FIFO, drive-in for bulk stock, cantilever for long loads, and carton flow for case picking. The right system follows how your material moves, not simply how many positions fit on a drawing.
We compare those choices in the context of your building, inventory, and forklift fleet. A free warehouse consultation establishes the information needed for a CAD layout, a usable storage count, and an itemized quote for your St. Louis area operation.

Start with SKU count, pallet quantities behind each item, inventory rotation, and the way orders leave the building. A large number of items with one or two pallets each usually favors selective warehouse racking. Direct access lets operators retrieve the required load without moving another pallet. When repeat quantities rise, some of that aisle floor can become deeper reserve storage.
Pushback keeps the forklift in the aisle and stores repeated pallets on carts, but each lane follows LIFO. Pallet flow uses separate loading and picking ends to support FIFO, with travel controlled by roller selection and brakes. Drive-in stores bulk pallets on rails with the truck inside the lane, so the load and forklift envelope need to be checked together.
Long loads need a different approach. Cantilever arms support lumber, tube, pipe, and irregular bundles without a beam obstructing the front. Carton flow is designed around case presentation and replenishment rather than whole-pallet handling. Many warehouses combine these systems instead of forcing every inventory family into one rack type.
We also check clear height, column spacing, doors, staging space, load weights, and equipment reach. A position count is not useful when the last level cannot be reached or an added row blocks receiving. The drawing should show those constraints and the available storage together, making it possible to compare real alternatives.
Your quote separates material, accessories, freight, and installation. The planning process identifies component ratings, any needed testing, and the sequence in which rows become usable. When existing rack is part of the project, we confirm manufacturer and connector compatibility rather than treating all frames and beams as interchangeable.
If your project involves a building move, our warehouse relocation service connects rack reuse, teardown, labeling, transport coordination, and installation at the destination. The same storage decisions apply, but the layout also needs to match the dates when both buildings must operate.
